A 12-year-old boy, the son of a New York police detective, was tragically killed by a stray bullet during a violent brawl that broke out outside a store in the Bronx. The incident occurred yesterday (Saturday) in the afternoon. Security camera footage obtained by the New York Post shows an argument between two men that escalated into a mass brawl. Jacob Freites, the boy, had left the store after buying a ball and got on his bike. He turned to look at the brawl just as a man in a white shirt pulled out a gun and opened fire. Jacob was seen jumping off his bike and running back into the store, clutching his upper chest, and collapsing on the floor. He was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder, where he was pronounced dead. Two other men, aged 34 and 25, were injured and taken to hospitals. Police have launched an investigation, but no arrests have been made yet.
