Rescue teams called to the scene provided initial medical treatment and evacuated them to the Galilee Medical Center. The mother, 67, was evacuated in critical condition unconscious, and her death was determined upon arrival at the hospital. Her daughter, 27, was moderately injured with limb injuries, and is being treated while conscious. The taxi driver, 76, was lightly injured and evacuated for medical treatment. Police have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident. United Hatzalah medics Radi Hadad and Ronen Lankri, who were called to the scene, reported that two pedestrians were hit by a taxi, and that they provided initial medical assistance and then they were evacuated to the medical center. They described the woman as about 70 in critical condition undergoing resuscitation and the young woman as about 20 in moderate condition, while the taxi driver was treated at the scene in light condition.
