Shiral Israeli, 24, perished early in the morning in a fire that broke out in a housing unit on HaOregim Street in the industrial zone in Holon. She worked for a security and courier company and lived in the unit as a tenant. Her brother, Rahamim Israeli, said he received a call at 9:35 about the fire, searched for her in hospitals, and was informed of her death at the police station. He noted that he had previously lived in the unit himself and that Shiral replaced him about a year ago. Fire and rescue crews worked to control the fire and extract her. After she was transferred to MDA teams, her death was determined. Paramedics Lior Paz and Omri Weksblum described finding her unconscious, without breathing, with burns and smoke inhalation. The commander of the Dan district in fire and rescue, Tafsar Oren Shishitsky, ordered the establishment of a special investigation team to examine the circumstances of the incident. An initial examination revealed that the fire spread quickly and the unit burned within a short time.
