Tehila Eizman, an educator and well-known social activist from Hadera, died after collapsing during a Pilates class last Thursday (July 30, 2026) on Mordechai Karlitz Street in Hadera. MDA and United Hatzalah teams who were called to the scene found her unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, and performed advanced resuscitation. After her core activity returned, she was evacuated to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in serious condition, where doctors fought for her life. A CT scan revealed that a blood vessel in her brain had ruptured in a critical area, and the damage was too great to save her. Her daughter, Michal, said that her mother was "the beating heart of the family" and worked tirelessly for others, describing her as a "fighter for justice" and a "superwoman." Eizman is survived by her daughter, two grandchildren aged nine and six, and her husband. Her funeral will take place tomorrow (August 4) at 18:00 at the new cemetery in Hadera.
