Assuta Ashdod Public Hospital announced today (Tuesday) the death of premature baby Hadar Cohen, who was born 42 days ago at 30 weeks gestation in an emergency cesarean section. The delivery was performed following a fatal car accident in which her mother, Tsofia, of blessed memory, was killed near the Ashdod port. The hospital stated that since her birth, the neonatal intensive care unit teams fought for her life and provided her with dedicated and complex medical care. Today, unfortunately, she passed away. The hospital shared in the deep sorrow of the family during this difficult time. The incident occurred about six weeks ago, when the mother, who was in advanced stages of pregnancy, was involved in a fatal car accident. Her condition deteriorated and it was decided to perform an emergency cesarean section in an attempt to save the fetus.
