Commentator Suleiman Maswadeh said in an interview with 103FM that Trump's statements cannot be trusted, as he could declare war on Iran at any moment, and then flip to a deal. He noted that one of the factors influencing Trump is US domestic politics, especially the midterm elections in November. Maswadeh highlighted a gap between the memorandum of understanding that was supposed to lead to a full agreement and the current agreement proposed via Oman, which is not between the US and Iran. He said the Iranians are "begging" for Trump to attack them, and that their economy has been severely damaged. Regarding Gaza, Maswadeh said Israel's security situation is good, with control over about 70% of the territory, but Hamas is gradually strengthening and controls the economy, markets, and taxes. He also addressed the internal struggles in Likud over the primaries, saying this is especially dangerous when it comes to the defense minister.
