Threatened Bnei Brak–Ramat Gan Police Station Commander – Arrested

A 44-year-old resident of Modi'in Illit was arrested on suspicion of threatening the commander of the Bnei Brak–Ramat Gan police station through threatening messages posted in a WhatsApp group. The investigation was opened at the Moshavim station after information about the messages was received. Investigators located the suspect yesterday, and he was arrested and brought in for questioning, at the end of which he was jailed. The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court extended his detention today (Thursday) until Sunday, August 9. The police stated that they view any threat or incitement against police officers and public servants with severity and will act decisively to bring about justice. The investigation is ongoing.
