As part of the service campaign, a free software update for the engine control unit will be performed, taking about an hour. Owners will receive notifications by mail. According to Section 306(a) of the Traffic Regulations, if the owner does not complete the procedure within six months, the Ministry of Transport will deny license renewal. Transfer of ownership will also be impossible. For verification, owners can use the Ford website or contact a service center.
