‘This is Tehran’: Khamenei posters and Iran regime flags displayed at London march

At Sunday's Arbaeen Procession in London, attended by an estimated 35,000 people, dozens of posters and hundreds of flags supporting Iran's Islamic regime were displayed. The Jerusalem Post reviewed footage and found images of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, including a poster by the Islamic Human Rights Commission. The UK recently designated the IRGC as a terrorist organization, making support for it a criminal offense.

At Sunday's Arbaeen Procession in London, an annual Shia commemoration march, open displays of support for Iran's Islamic regime were seen. The Jerusalem Post reviewed hundreds of videos and photos, finding at least dozens of posters and flags of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as well as hundreds of Islamic regime flags. One notable poster by the Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) featured Khamenei's photo with the words 'Choose the right side of history.' The IHRC has been under investigation by the UK's Charity Commission since 2017 for alleged ties to the Iranian regime. The march, organized by Hussaini Islamic Trust UK, drew an estimated 35,000 people, the largest in its 46-year history in the UK. The displays are particularly striking given the UK's recent National Security (State Threats) Act 2026, which designated the IRGC as a terrorist organization on July 17, 2026, making support for it a criminal offense. Given that the ayatollahs are the ultimate authority over the IRGC, displays of support for them could be seen as support for the organization. The Post reached out to the Metropolitan Police for comment. Shadow Secretary of State for Justice Nick Timothy wrote on X: 'You might be forgiven for thinking this is Tehran. But no, it is London, where those who live among us openly celebrate the antisemitic and terrorist state of Iran.'
