The IDF reported this morning (Wednesday) that it removed the "shed" that the extremists had erected, but they remained in place, and additional extremists arrived. A village resident, Abd al-Karim Hassan, whose family is besieged in his home, told Ynet that there is not enough food and they drink water from a well. He added that the police and the Palestinian DCO tell them not to approach the extremists, and that one of them threatened him with a knife. The Central Command chief, Avi Bluth, arrived at the scene, and clashes with IDF and Border Police forces were recorded. The head of the Yesha Council, Israel Gantz, and Minister Bezalel Smotrich refused to comment. A senior Hamas official, Muhammad Mardawi, called on the area's residents to stand together with the families. Security sources said that the IDF is preparing for evacuation, and the IDF spokesman defined the activity as "illegal, disgraceful, and invalid" and imposed a closed military zone order.
