They wove between vehicles and threw a weapon from the car: Watch the wild chase in the north

Two young men from Eablin and Ibtin were arrested after a wild police chase in the north, during which they threw a Glock pistol from their car window and drove against traffic. Officers fired at the vehicle's wheels until it stopped. A serious indictment was filed against them at the Haifa District Court.

Two young men, a 21-year-old resident of Eablin and an 18-year-old resident of Ibtin, were arrested on August 4, 2026, after a dramatic police chase in northern Israel. The incident began when officers identified a suspicious vehicle and ordered the driver to stop for inspection. The driver refused, fled, and drove against traffic, endangering road users. During the chase, the suspects threw a Glock pistol from the car window, which was seized by officers. Police fired at the vehicle's wheels until it came to a complete stop. At the end of the chase, both occupants were arrested. The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office filed a serious indictment against them at the district court, along with a request for their detention until the end of proceedings. Police noted that since the beginning of the year, northern district officers and Border Police fighters have seized over 600 lethal weapons and arrested many armed individuals "in the act" as part of the fight against violent crime.
