"They threatened to kill him": Dramatic development in the disappearance of Eldar Dayan

The Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court extended by four days the detention of Maxim Braverman and Omri Peretz, suspects in a brawl and threats against their missing friend Eldar Dayan. The police attribute to them offenses of endangering human life, destroying evidence, and obstructing an investigation. Dayan, a resident of Dimona, is defined as missing and wanted for questioning. The police attribute to the two offenses of endangering human life on a traffic route, destroying evidence, and obstructing an investigation, claiming that after the brawl and the hit-and-run, they tried to remove the vehicle's license plate. Dayan, a resident of Dimona, was declared missing, but at the same time he is defined in the Petah Tikva police computers as wanted for questioning. According to the suspicion, Dayan drove without a license in a vehicle involved in the hit-and-run, fled the scene, abandoned the vehicle in Petah Tikva, and removed its license plates. The police estimate that Dayan is in hiding, and that releasing the suspects could harm the investigation. Investigators are awaiting the results of DNA tests on blood stains found on the vehicle's windshield and inside it.
