At the end of the investigation, prosecutor's statements were filed against two young men from Bat Yam, aged 18 and 22, ahead of filing indictments. According to the suspicion, around 2:00 AM, two masked suspects arrived at the branch on a two-wheeled vehicle, threw a fragmentation grenade at the entrance, and fled the scene. The explosion caused damage, but there were no casualties. Police assess that the background of the incident is related to struggles between elements in the criminal underworld, as part of a wave of violent incidents recorded recently. During the investigation, YMR investigators used technological means and additional investigative actions, and police claim they managed to trace the perpetrators despite attempts to cover their tracks. On July 16, the first suspect, an 18-year-old from Bat Yam, was arrested. A few days later, another suspect, aged 22, also a resident of Bat Yam, was arrested. In searches of their homes, according to police, findings and clothing items were seized that link them to the commission of the offense. Their detention was extended from time to time, and yesterday prosecutor's statements were filed against them. In the coming days, indictments are expected to be filed against them.
