Northern District police arrested a 19-year-old resident of Segev Shalom on Highway 6 over the weekend, after a search of his vehicle uncovered more than six kilograms of suspected hashish. The arrest was made during proactive police activity at the Yokneam tunnels. After officers stopped the vehicle and became suspicious of the driver, they conducted a thorough search, during which the spare wheel was removed, revealing a black bag containing numerous packages. The suspect was taken into custody for questioning at the police station. After weighing the packages, it was found that their total weight exceeded six kilograms, and their value is estimated at hundreds of thousands of shekels on the criminal market, according to police. The Nazareth-Noff HaGalil Magistrate's Court extended his remand until September 17. Police stated that Northern District officers will continue to combat crime using the tools at their disposal.
