According to police, in the early morning hours, Eldar and his two friends, Maxim and Omri, arrived at the Hod HaSharon area, where an initial brawl broke out. Later, they met with five young men, and an argument over a handshake escalated into a fight. Afterward, the license plate was removed from the vehicle, and suspect Omri claims they split up, contradicting witness accounts. Maxim allegedly threatened to kill Eldar. On Wednesday, a consultation with the prosecution is expected.

Police investigation reveals that in the early morning hours of the day of his disappearance, Eldar and his two friends, Maxim and Omri, arrived at the Hod HaSharon area. Early in the day, an initial brawl broke out among the three, and after Omri and Maxim left the scene, they returned to pick up Eldar. Later, the three met with five young men of Ethiopian descent, with police saying there was prior acquaintance between Eldar and some of them. An argument over a handshake escalated into shoving and a brawl, with Eldar punching one of them. Police note that at this stage, Eldar's role in the incident was marginal. According to suspicion, after the brawl, Omri and Maxim got into the car and attempted to run someone over. Omri drove Maxim's car, and later they picked up Eldar and drove to a gas station. According to eyewitnesses, at the gas station, the vehicle's license plate was removed, and the three young men were seen running together toward an open area. However, in his interrogation, suspect Omri claimed they split up and each ran separately – a version that, according to police, contradicts eyewitness accounts. The investigation also revealed that Maxim allegedly threatened to kill Eldar – information provided to police by the other participants in the brawl. Police note that the suspicion that Eldar drove without a license has been removed, and on Wednesday, a consultation with the prosecution is expected regarding the filing of indictments in the brawl case. It is estimated that the investigation into this matter will conclude during the week ahead of indictments. Meanwhile, the Dimona station continues to manage the search for the missing person, and tomorrow another extensive search operation is expected to take place in an attempt to locate Eldar Yitzhak Dayan.
