MK Gadi Kariv (Labor) warned in an interview with 103FM that Israelis residing abroad may be removed from the voters' registry if they do not check their registration before the appeal deadline, which falls tomorrow (Tuesday). Kariv claimed that the Interior Ministry, responsible for preparing the registry, was negligent in publicizing the ways to check and did not provide effective and simple tools for verification. He noted that the Central Elections Committee approached the Interior Ministry, but it dragged its feet, and hinted that the absence of an interior minister for about a year contributes to the negligence. Kariv estimated that tens of thousands of Israelis from abroad will come to the country to vote, and recommended using the next 24 hours to contact via SMS, email, or WhatsApp listed on the Interior Ministry's website.
