Protest activist Danny Galant launched a harsh attack against Talik Goili, the mother of the late RSM Rani Goili, who was recently placed on the Likud list for the Knesset. In a post he published, Galant attacked Goili following remarks he attributed to her in a video supporting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, using particularly harsh language. Galant began his remarks with the words: "That's it, I'm completely taking off the gloves," and later called her "this terrible woman, shameless, truly despicable" and "heartless and ungrateful." At the center of the attack was a statement Galant attributed to Goili, according to which "if the other camp wins, the memory of the heroes of the kingdoms will disappear." Galant claimed these words were directed against a broad public that worked to bring back the hostages, and argued he could not bear what he called "her contempt for hundreds of thousands of people who fought for over two years for her son and for another 249 hostages." Galant also attacked Goili's statements, which he said attributed the return of the hostages to Netanyahu, and accused the Prime Minister of responsibility for many hostages being returned in coffins. Goili, the mother of the late Rani Goili, has become a well-known public figure in recent years around the struggle to bring back her son, who fell in the battles of October 7 and whose body was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip. She was recently placed on the Likud list, a move that sparked reactions in the political system and on social media.
