Police arrested eight people in two shooting incidents in southern Israel: three in Lakiya on suspicion of involvement in a shooting during a mass brawl, including a suspect who fled to a wadi and was caught, and five in Ashdod after a shooting in which one person was lightly injured. Investigations are ongoing.
Police arrested eight people in two shooting incidents in the south of the country. In Lakiya in the Negev, three suspects were arrested for involvement in a shooting during a mass brawl. One suspect fled to a nearby wadi and was caught after a chase, with the aid of flare bombs. Two others, in their thirties, were arrested inside the community. In a separate incident in Ashdod, five suspects were arrested after a shooting in which one person was lightly injured. The injured person was taken for medical treatment. The police intend to bring the suspects to remand extension hearings at the Magistrate's Courts in Be'er Sheva and Ashkelon. Investigation of all incidents is ongoing.
