The move will take place on August 13, in cooperation with the Samaria Regional Council, the Amana movement, and the Settlement Division. Ganim was one of four settlements evacuated from the northern Samaria, alongside Homesh, Sa-Nur, and Kadim. The reestablishment of Ganim is part of the council's 'Connection Plan,' which includes establishing 19 new settlements. Council head Yossi Dagan said: 'This is a moment of historical correction... On Thursday we return to Ganim and establish it anew.' The nucleus chairman Alon Kotski spoke of the families' excitement: 'It is moving and joyful to return to a region that was abandoned.' In parallel, a branch of the 'Bnei David' pre-military academy will open in Eli. The move comes days after the first 22 families moved to the new settlement of Emek Dotan.
