Nearly three years after the fall of 16 female observation soldiers and two female combat support operators at Nahal Oz, 18 control rooms will be established worldwide in their memory. The first command center in Munich commemorates Cpl. Noam Abramovich, may her memory be a blessing, and continues their mission. Adva Abramovich, Noam's mother, describes the feeling in the Munich command center, where "Noam's spirit truly resides in the place," and the difference between commemoration in Israel and in Germany, where memory is part of the fabric of daily life. She describes Noam as a responsible and professional girl who asked to serve in the Southern Brigade to contribute the maximum. Noam completed the observation course on October 4 and was sent to Nahal Oz. On the morning of October 7, as Hamas terrorists stormed in, she called to say goodbye and said, "I love you like crazy, no matter what happens." Shortly after, she was shot and killed. Her mother says Noam understood the magnitude of the disaster before everyone else and felt a deep responsibility. The teams in the Munich command center understand the gravity of their responsibility, and if they do not act with dedication and professionalism, "the next disaster could happen."
