New details about the murder of Yanus Yusheyev, head of the Caucasian mafia, have been revealed: a meeting at a restaurant in Caesarea moments before the shooting, a suspect who fled the scene, and another person who attended the meeting and confirms his presence in the investigation. The police are holding three suspects and trying to understand the background of the hit.
New details were published today (Sunday) in the main evening news edition about the investigation into the murder of Yanus Yusheyev, head of the Caucasian mafia, which occurred last month. Shortly before the shooting, a meeting took place at the "Agenda" restaurant in Caesarea, from which Yusheyev left moments before he was shot. Another person who left the meeting with him fled the scene immediately after the shooting. One of those present at the meeting is in police custody and confirms in the investigation that he was there. He claims he was summoned to the meeting over a debt and has no connection to the hit, and that he drove toward the center of the country and only heard about the murder near Tel Aviv. The police have three suspects: the main suspect in the murder, his brother, and the person who attended the meeting. Investigators are trying to understand what happened at the meeting, which is suspected to have been a "red cap" setup intended to lull Yusheyev's suspicions, as he was in conflict with many criminals.
