The delegation set out 96 hours after the quake and operates in five active sites in the city, focusing on locating missing persons and rescuing the injured. So far, delegation members have not located survivors, but have recovered many missing persons without life. Pinto noted that the main effort is to locate survivors, and that in the coming two days they are expected to finish the rescue phase and move to the rehabilitation phase with the authorities. The delegation includes rescue and engineering teams, and assists in mapping buildings and reflecting the situation. Pinto emphasized the experience and unique capabilities the delegation brings, including experience from a previous event in Venezuela, and the great operational cooperation with the Colombian authorities.
