Senior Judge Araz Noriali ruled that no reasonable suspicion was presented to justify extending the arrest, and that the remaining investigative actions do not warrant keeping him behind bars. The judge noted that another suspect under similar circumstances was released with only a restraining order. Bokel was released under restrictive conditions: exclusion from Netanya within a two-kilometer radius until September 13 at 12:00, a ban on contacting those involved in the case for 30 days, and a personal surety of 5,000 shekels. He is represented by attorney Jackie Segron, who argued that his client spent nine years in harsh prison conditions and cut off from the outside world.
