According to him, the Defense Minister's office accuses the Chief of Staff's office of making a mountain out of a molehill, and the IDF Spokesperson's statement did not calm the spirits. He notes that Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced there would be no appointments during the election period, and mentions previous intervention by Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara in the appointment of Herzi Halevi. Dromi argues that government critics, close to terms like 'Jewish terrorism', are exploiting the incident for manipulation, and that the left is planning 'wholesale dismissals' of worthy appointments if it comes to power, including Bluth, Zini, Gofman, and Yaniv Asor. He warns that these dismissals would be more severe than the current storm.
