The center will be established in Be'er Sheva with an investment of about NIS 250 million and is expected to open in 2030. It will include approximately 280 hospital beds across eight departments, a day center, specialist clinics, a support center for families, and a multidisciplinary treatment system. According to data presented at the ceremony, about 150,000 people in Israel currently live with Alzheimer's and dementia, and their number is expected to rise as the population ages. The establishment of the center is made possible through cooperation between the Israeli Medical Center for Alzheimer's, the Ministry of Health, and the Be'er Sheva Municipality. The Ministry of Health allocated NIS 37.8 million for the project, and the Be'er Sheva Municipality provided the land. The CEO of the Israeli Medical Center for Alzheimer's, Nitai Eliash, said this is "a transition from vision to action." Mayor Rubik Danilovich emphasized the need to prepare already today.
