The Magistrate's Court in Bat Yam approved a settlement agreement this week, according to which a 23-year-old young man, who was attacked at a nightclub in Rishon LeZion about seven and a half years ago, will be compensated a total of 335,050 shekels. The incident occurred on the night of December 14, 2018, when the young man came to the club to socialize. An argument that began after the young man tapped one of the patrons on the shoulder quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, during which the young man was punched and kicked, knocked to the ground, and attacked even while lying on the floor. The security team removed those involved from the club, but according to the prosecution, they did not properly separate them, and the violence continued outside the club. The young man was evacuated to Sheba Hospital, where fractures in his lower jaw were diagnosed, and he underwent surgery to reconstruct his jaw. His disability was determined at 5%. Under the agreement, three attackers will pay 89,700 shekels, 76,000 shekels, and 17,350 shekels respectively. The club owners, the company that operated it, and the insurance company 'Migdal' will jointly compensate the young man 152,000 shekels. The criminal proceedings ended with the conviction of the attackers.
