According to him, Tehran sees provocations, such as the takeover of an Emirati tanker, as the only way out of the dead end. He notes reports that Hezbollah is waiting for a "green light" from Tehran to escalate attacks in southern Lebanon, but emphasizes that the main escalation is against American forces and their Gulf allies.

According to him, Tehran sees provocations, such as the takeover of an Emirati tanker, as the only way out of the dead end. He notes that we may see further steps in the future. Zimmt adds that there is a report in the Lebanese media that Hezbollah is waiting for a "green light" from Tehran to escalate attacks against the IDF in southern Lebanon. However, he emphasizes that the current escalation is not primarily against Israel, but against American forces enforcing the naval blockade and their Gulf allies, primarily the United Arab Emirates.
