The petition states: "Cliff Beach belongs to everyone," and they call for keeping the beach open to the general public and exploring alternatives. Opponents plan to hold a demonstration on August 14. The Tel Aviv municipality rejected the claims and clarified that this is merely a location swap, not an additional separate beach, and that the move is intended to open the closed beach strip in central Tel Aviv to the general public. The Herzliya municipality expressed support for the plan, which will allow continuity with Herzliya's separate beach.
