The assassination order, investigation findings - and the arrest of the main suspect: the Binyahu Razi murder case
Police arrested 17-year-old Avior Sasson, the main suspect in the murder of Binyahu Razi in Nahlaot, after a two-and-a-half-week manhunt. According to the suspicion, Agam Tzarfi and Shilat Huta ordered the murder after being beaten, and Linor Sasson, Avior's mother, mediated. Sasson was caught in a taxi in the Arzim Tunnel in Jerusalem.
On Tuesday this week, three weeks after the murder of Binyahu Razi in Nahlaot, 17-year-old Avior Sasson, the main suspect in the murder, was caught. Sasson, who had been hiding for two and a half weeks in safe houses in the north and center of the country, was on his way to Jerusalem in a taxi when detectives from the Jerusalem Central Unit, with the assistance of the aerial unit, closed in on the vehicle in the Arzim Tunnel at the entrance to the city, pulled him out in front of stunned passengers, and laid him on the ground. The arrest, carried out after a lengthy surveillance of the taxi, is a climax in the complex investigation conducted by the Crime Fighting Unit of the Zion District over the past three weeks, which included more than fifteen suspects and at least twelve detainees, some of them minors, on suspicion of involvement in the murder. About half of the detainees are expected to face a serious indictment for one of the murder offenses. The murder occurred about three weeks ago. Police investigators summoned on Saturday night to an apartment in the Nahlaot neighborhood found a young man covered in blood after being stabbed with a knife and his friend who was wounded in his hand. The perpetrators fled the scene. The investigation reveals that the two girls, Agam Tzarfi and Shilat Huta, were held in the apartment and beaten by Binyahu and his friend, and after fleeing, they allegedly ordered the murder. Linor Sasson, Avior's mother, is suspected of mediating the murder.
