Thanks to the dog Anna: cache of weapons seized in Rahat

In a targeted operation following a dispute between families in the Al-Huzail clan, Rahat police officers and southern National Guard fighters of the Border Police located a cache of weapons this morning, with intelligence guidance and the assistance of police dog Anna. Three M16 rifles, ammunition bullets, five magazines, and weapon parts were found in a residential compound. Two suspects in their 30s, residents of Rahat, were arrested at the scene.

The operation was carried out with intelligence guidance from Rahat detectives and with the assistance of police dog Anna. The forces raided a residential compound and conducted a search, during which weapons hidden in the house were found: three M16 rifles, ammunition bullets, five magazines, and weapon parts. Two suspects, in their 30s and residents of Rahat, were arrested at the scene and transferred for further investigation at Rahat station. The seizure joins a series of police operations in recent days in the fight against family disputes and crime in Rahat. Over the weekend, 24 suspects were arrested following a violent brawl between factions in the city, in which two police officers were injured by stone-throwing. Subsequently, forces raided residential compounds as part of the same dispute and uncovered a cache of weapons hidden in the Bedouin diaspora, among other things thanks to the dog Anna.
