In the Pakistani city of Kabal, located in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a terrorist attack occurred, killing at least 14 people. A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at the gates of a police station during a protest against the rise of violence and extremism in the region. According to local law enforcement, more than 20 others were wounded, some in critical condition. Among the dead and injured are police officers and civilians. As reported by the Dawn newspaper, citing police spokesman Nasir Iqbal Karimi, an unknown man attempted to enter the inner courtyard of the station but was blocked at a checkpoint. Realizing he could not get inside, he detonated the device at the main gate. At that moment, a crowded demonstration was passing by, with participants demanding that authorities restore law and order. The blast wave hit the crowd, causing panic and chaos. Emergency services quickly evacuated the wounded to a nearby hospital. Security forces cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but law enforcement links the incident to the general destabilization in the province.
