The meeting between Mossad Director Roman Gofman and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani took place in Jordan with American mediation. Meanwhile, Israeli activity in southern Syria continued, and on Saturday the IDF struck in the Beit Jinn area. Turkey supports the new government in Damascus and is interested in helping build the Syrian army, but Israel fears that a Turkish military presence will limit the Air Force's freedom of action.
