Tensions with Iran: Israel Raises Defense Alert Level
Israel has raised the alert level of its defense array amid reports that US President Donald Trump is expected to order an attack on Iranian infrastructure and energy facilities. There are still no changes in Home Front Command instructions. A member of the Iranian negotiating team, Seyed Mohammad Marandi, threatened Gulf states, saying they must prepare for immediate evacuation if Iran's civilian infrastructure is attacked.
Israel has raised the alert level of its defense array amid reports published in the past day that US President Donald Trump is expected to order an attack on Iranian infrastructure and energy facilities. Unlike last week, Israel is not yet publicly addressing these reports. For now, there are no changes in Home Front Command instructions. Amid the heightened alert, a member of the Iranian negotiating team, Seyed Mohammad Marandi, a professor at Tehran University affiliated with the Iranian regime, wrote on the social network X that "based on statements from the Trump administration, it seems very likely, after months of threats, that tonight will be the last night of normal life in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE, and perhaps also Oman." He threatened that if attacks are carried out against Iran's civilian infrastructure, "the vital infrastructure of these regimes, along with that of Israel and perhaps also Jordan, will be destroyed," and that the populations of these regimes must prepare for immediate evacuation.
