The annual growth rate over the past Jewish year was 1.2%. The country is home to approximately 7.767 million Jews (78.3%) and about 2.149 million Arabs (21.7%). Special attention in the report is given to migration. In 2025, the number of Israelis who left (over 69,000) significantly exceeded the number of new immigrants (about 21,000). For comparison, in 2024, 82,000 left and 31,000 arrived. In 2025, nearly 19,000 residents returned to Israel compared to 24,000 a year earlier. Among the Jewish population over 20, 39.6% consider themselves non-religious or secular, 21.8% traditional, 12.4% religious, and 11.5% ultra-Orthodox. In 2024, 53,025 marriages were registered and 16,499 divorces were recorded. In 2025, 183,678 children were born, with a total fertility rate of 2.88. The average monthly gross household income is 26,330 shekels, net income is 21,606 shekels, and expenses are 14,823 shekels. Life expectancy for men is 81.4 years, for women 85.9 years. During the year, 51,881 people passed away.
