Syria claims rocket attack on IDF; military launches investigation

According to the militants, the strike hit the southern Golan Heights in the Syrian security zone; they published two videos as evidence. Israeli forces, in turn, stated they detected no launches from Syrian territory: no system alerts were triggered, and no interceptions were made. Nevertheless, the Bashan Division, together with the Israeli Air Force, began reviewing the incoming information. Separately, the 'Syrian Center' reported that Israeli units advanced to the Tel Abu Qabis area in the southern part of Al-Quneitra province, and a powerful explosion occurred in the eastern part of the town of Zutar. The IDF emphasized that forces operate strictly within the controlled security zone, and operations aim to prevent terrorist hotspots. Against this backdrop, a diplomatic spat flared up: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan accused Israel of violating Syria's sovereignty and called on the international community to intervene, while Gideon Sa'ar rejected the accusations, calling Ankara's position hypocritical.
