Suspicion Exists, Details Kept Secret: The Drone Drama in Israel

Three Iranian drones were intercepted within 24 hours after flying at low altitude along hidden routes. The IDF is using intelligence and satellite means to locate the launch sites, but a military source said there is no definitive information and details are kept secret to avoid harming the intelligence effort.

Israel is concerned about the recent series of drone launches toward its territory. The Air Force intercepted another drone early Tuesday morning in the southern Dead Sea area, following two interceptions in the same area the day before. In all cases, the Iron Dome system detected and intercepted the drones. The drones fly at low altitude along hidden routes, including within wadis and stream channels, making detection difficult. The IDF is making an intelligence and technological effort, including attempting to use satellites, to locate the launch areas. All drones are Iranian-made and were armed with warheads. A military source said: "We have no definitive information on where they came from, only suspicion, so we are not publishing. Publishing unverified information or our suspicion could harm our intelligence effort or attribute to the wrong location." The IDF's alert level remains high, as raised over the past month and a half against Iran, based on the assumption that a security deterioration in the Arabian Gulf could develop at any moment.
