A serious incident was revealed this morning: a 24-year-old man, a resident of Dura in the Hebron area, is suspected of bringing three illegal residents into Israeli territory and then running them over with his vehicle, apparently intentionally. One of the victims, who was critically injured, died of his wounds at the scene. The other two were moderately injured and were evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva, where they were questioned and then treated according to the existing policy in Israel regarding illegal residents. The suspect, who fled the scene without offering help, was located by police in Be'er Sheva, after his car was found under a water carrier in the seam zone area. The investigation materials were transferred to the Southern District Attorney's Office, which filed a notice of intent to indict him at the Be'er Sheva District Court, with the intention of filing charges for manslaughter and illegal stay in Israel.
