Suspected: Street dweller stabs 75-year-old in central Tel Aviv - condition serious

A 75-year-old man was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack on Levinsky Street in Tel Aviv. Police arrested a 27-year-old street dweller on suspicion of involvement. A 75-year-old man was seriously wounded this evening (Tuesday) in an attack on Levinsky Street in Tel Aviv. According to eyewitnesses, he was attacked with a knife. Police arrested a 27-year-old street dweller shortly afterward on suspicion of involvement. At this stage, police have ruled out the possibility of robbery. Passersby noticed the man lying bruised on the street and called emergency services. MDA teams provided life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital, conscious and in serious but stable condition. MDA paramedic Inbar Green and senior emergency medic Georgy Avetisyan described the treatment given to the injured man. Upon receiving the report, police officers from the Sharet station in the Ayalon district and forensic investigators arrived at the scene and began collecting evidence and taking testimonies. Shortly afterward, officers, together with Tel Aviv municipality's SLA patrols, located a 27-year-old street dweller and arrested her. She was transferred for questioning at the Sharet station. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, which is currently defined as criminal. Tomorrow, police are expected to request an extension of the suspect's detention at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court.
