Residents of the Palestinian village of Asira al-Qibliya woke up this morning (Sunday) to a severe incident of nationalist crime. A building was set on fire, a vehicle was torched, and graffiti was sprayed throughout the village. The walls were inscribed with 'Revenge for 30 Binyahu' and 'Death to the enemy, freedom for the homeland'. The reference is to Binyahu Malet, a member of the emergency response team in Havat Gilad who was killed in a shooting attack last month. In that same incident, Major Yuval Ezra was also killed. Police have launched an investigation and are preparing to enter the site accompanied by IDF forces. The incident joins a series of price tag attacks in the area over the past month, including the burning of a mosque in Qusra and the torching of vehicles in the village of Beitlu.
