Suspected murder: 57-year-old man shot dead in Tayibe
A 57-year-old man, a resident of Tira, was shot dead today in Tayibe. MDA teams pronounced him dead at the scene after finding him wounded inside his vehicle. Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting, with the background apparently a long-running blood feud. His partner, Susan Abd al-Qader Bishara, was shot dead about a year and a half ago.
A 57-year-old man, a resident of Tira, was shot dead today (Wednesday) in Tayibe. MDA teams who arrived at the scene reported a man with penetrating wounds and no signs of life, and were forced to pronounce his death at the scene. According to suspicion, the man was found shot inside his vehicle. Police officers from the Sharon District at the Tayibe station opened an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting, began collecting evidence and isolating the scene, along with a manhunt for suspects. The background to the incident is apparently a long-running blood feud. The victim's partner, Susan Abd al-Qader Bishara, a social activist in Tira and a former candidate for the city council on behalf of the "Future Youth" list, was also shot dead while sitting in her car about a year and a half ago. MDA paramedic Younes Haj Yahya and emergency medic Adi Fayoumi said the man was unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, and his injury was critical.
