Police will request an extension of Ifargan's remand. Ifargan is also suspected of stabbing Dadon's 4-year-old cousin, who was seriously injured. Investigation findings published last week indicate that the suspect arrived at the apartment where the children were staying, spoke briefly with the homeowner, and returned home. After several hours, he came back, noticed the children, and stabbed them. Police Commander Guy Avrahami described a very difficult scene where a young child met his death while playing in a pool. Tamar Dadon, Hillel's mother, said she was preparing for her son's birthday party and went out to buy things and vote. She received a call about stabbings at Shlomi's house and did not realize it involved children. Tamar feared it was a nationalist incident but understood it was a young, mentally unstable person. "He extinguished this sweet child for us," she said. She described Hillel as a smiley child who knew everything, a child of books and puzzles. Her other son, in the Paratroopers reconnaissance unit, came to visit for the birthday and attended the funeral.
