Supply Investigations: Over 1.2 Tons of Spoiled Frozen Food Destroyed

The Supply Investigations Department in Khan Younis destroyed more than 1.2 tons of spoiled meat and frozen goods, which were found in a merchant's freezer during an inspection tour with the Grand Food Committee. Authorities confirmed that the quantity showed clear signs of spoilage, and an official seizure and destruction report was filed according to legal procedures, with continued inspection tours to protect public health.

The Supply Investigations Department in Khan Younis Governorate destroyed more than 1,200 kilograms of spoiled meat and frozen goods after they were found in a freezer belonging to a merchant during a field inspection tour conducted in cooperation with teams from the Grand Food Committee. In a press statement on Tuesday, the Supply Investigations Department said that the seized quantity showed clear signs of spoilage and emitted foul odors, which necessitated taking the necessary legal measures against it and filing an official seizure and destruction report. It explained that the destruction process was carried out in accordance with approved legal procedures, with official reports and in the presence of the competent authorities. The Supply Investigations Department affirmed the continuation of its inspection tours of markets and food establishments, and the taking of legal measures against violators, as part of its efforts to reduce the circulation of spoiled food materials and protect public health.
