Sulberg orders Eisenkot to remove AI-generated video with soldiers

Central Elections Committee Chairman Judge Noam Sulberg ordered Yashar party leader Gadi Eisenkot on Thursday to remove from all social networks an election video featuring AI-generated images of IDF soldiers. The video, published before a directive banning the use of the military in election propaganda took effect, showed the former Chief of Staff walking against backgrounds and AI figures, including soldiers in military operations. Likud petitioned against the video, claiming use of public assets in violation of Section 2A of the Elections Law. Sulberg ruled that the use of uniforms and soldier figures created an 'improper connection' between Eisenkot and the military, constituting prohibited use of public assets. Likud stated that the committee determined the video made improper and cynical use of soldiers and ordered its removal and payment of expenses.
