A 66-year-old woman collapsed this morning (Monday) on Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv after suffering a cardiac arrest. She got off a bus, felt unwell, and collapsed on the sidewalk, losing consciousness and pulse. MDA teams called to the scene, along with MDA volunteer Prof. Kobi Shaham, director of the cardiac intensive care unit at Ichilov Medical Center, provided life-saving treatment. After an electric shock was administered using a defibrillator, her heart resumed beating. An MDA intensive care ambulance crew evacuated her directly to the catheterization room at Ichilov, in stable condition. Medic Yaron Dori said her friend told them she felt unwell during the bus ride. Prof. Shaham and paramedic Shaked Bar Zav noted that she regained consciousness during the evacuation. Prof. Shaham concluded: "This is another moving story of a successful life-saving, where the chain of survival and the rapid response proved themselves."
