The Education Ministry confirmed that all Israeli high school students will begin learning English using personalized AI lessons in the upcoming school year. The plan, part of 'Project 720', was initially announced in June. The expansion follows a trial program in 28 schools last year, which will now be extended to 180 schools. The ministry stated that AI-based systems, including an English app, can identify gaps, offer personalized practice, provide real-time feedback, and adapt to each student's level. It emphasized that the teacher's central role is maintained as the leader of the educational process. Merav Zarbiv, Director of the Innovation and Technology Division, said the project expresses a modern educational concept that puts both student and teacher at the center, moving from uniform teaching to personalized learning while maintaining high educational goals. She added that teachers will receive advanced tools and support to focus on personal guidance and pedagogical leadership.
