Storm over the emerging alliance between Segalovich and Ra'am: 'Pet Jew'

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir linked the emerging alliance to the previous government's policy, saying: 'We took the money that Segalovich-Bennett transferred to crime families in the Muslim Brotherhood government; now Segalovich and Mansour, in a joint comeback, want to give it back to them.' MK Tally Gotliv claimed that the possibility of Segalovich joining Ra'am does not surprise her, and recalled her previous publication on the matter: 'Already in January 26, I published that Mansour Abbas, a terror supporter, found himself a new pet Jew for his party, Yoav Segalovich from Yesh Atid.' Military commentator Noam Amir attacked fiercely: 'Segalovich is another political rag, who sees Yesh Atid collapsing into itself and runs to find himself shelter with Mansour Abbas.' Shai Kalch, a former fighter pilot, presented the alliance as part of a broader move to establish a joint government of opposition parties and Ra'am. In contrast, Assaf Zamir, deputy mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo, blessed: 'Mansour Abbas and Yoav Segalovich, brilliant. I hope it happens.' Ra'am clarified that such an alliance would only be possible after the party conference, which will convene on August 22, during which Mansour Abbas is expected to try to convince its members to allow him to conduct negotiations to join the coalition, with Segalovich potentially serving as a minister on behalf of the party.
