Maccabi Tel Aviv announced this morning (Monday) the extension of Danish guard Gabriel "If" Londberg's contract for three additional years, with an upgraded salary of $2 million per season. The 31-year-old Londberg, who led the Yellows to a double (championship and cup) and was named Finals MVP against Hapoel Tel Aviv, will continue to lead the backcourt of Oded Kattash. The signing joins the acquisitions of Yam Madar from Hapoel Tel Aviv and Bonzie Colson from Fenerbahçe, establishing a trend of continuity in the roster. Londberg averaged 11 points and 3.6 assists in the EuroLeague, and scored 17.5 points per game in the finals. After signing, he said: "I am more than excited to continue this journey with Maccabi." Club chairman Shimon Mizrahi and coach Kattash welcomed the move.
