Stabs gas station worker in Ashkelon - just because he didn't stop to help him

An Ashkelon resident stabbed a gas station worker in the abdomen after the worker refused to serve him because he was attending to another customer. The incident occurred on August 18. The suspect fled, was caught, and an indictment was filed along with a request for detention until the end of proceedings.

A serious violent incident occurred last week at a gas station in Ashkelon. According to the indictment, a suspect arrived at the station and asked to refuel. The attendant replied that he was handling another customer and could not attend to him. In response, the suspect threatened him, pulled out a Japanese knife, and stabbed him in the abdomen. He then fled the scene. The injured person was taken to the hospital. Following an investigation, police investigators gathered evidentiary infrastructure against the suspect. The Lachish Prosecution Unit filed an indictment against him and a request for his detention until the end of proceedings. Ashkelon Police Station Commander, Superintendent Eldad Eliashiv, said that the police view any violent incident with great severity, especially the use of a knife in the public sphere.
