For a long period, investigators from the Kfar Saba police station monitored the hostel, and the arrest was made possible by footage collected during a covert investigation, not by testimony from one of the residents. Police believe the videos show Dahan, who served as a sports instructor at the facility, committing indecent acts against several of the patients. Yesterday (Thursday), Dahan was brought before the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court, where police requested an extension of his remand. Police representative, Master Sergeant Ariel Amselem, described a difficult picture and noted that the footage shows the suspect touching intimate areas of several residents, emphasizing that these are women whose cognitive state prevents them from complaining or telling on their own. Police also noted that Dahan was employed as a sports instructor in additional frameworks, and the investigation is ongoing to examine whether there are additional cases. Dahan denies the allegations and claimed he did not commit sexual offenses and that any contact was within the framework of assistance he provided to the residents. The court accepted the police's position and extended his remand by four days, until Sunday. Attorneys Amir Kamhi and Yehudit Ela Shaked, representing Dahan, stated that their client denies the claims and that one should wait for the conclusion of the investigation.
