Soldiers marked Palestinian detainees with a number on the forehead and hand, IDF: "Lessons were learned"

He said it was humiliating and that about 50 detainees, including handcuffed women, were held in the house. Ahmad Khatmawi, a resident of Qabatiya and a released prisoner arrested for the fourth time, told the Qatari channel "Al-Araby" this morning (Tuesday) that the soldiers who arrested him marked him with the number "44" on his forehead and hand. According to him, this was the first time he was marked this way, and he described the experience as humiliating. He added that the previous time he was arrested 10 days before the IDF raid on Qabatiya, and that during interrogation he was told that settlers were coming and that they did not want problems. Khatmawi claimed that about 50 detainees, including handcuffed women, were held in the house where they stayed. The IDF confirmed the report and stated that "commanders clarified to the forces the severity of the act and lessons were learned in the matter."
